Coco Gauff follows in Serena's footsteps: the 19-year-old is a US Open semi-finalist

Coco Gauff continued her dream run at the US Open on Tuesday by breezing past Jelena Ostapenko in straight sets.

The number six player in the world needed just 68 minutes to clinch her first ever US Open semi final, winning 6-0, 6-2.

You have to go back to Sloane Stephens in 2017 to find the last American who triumphed at New York, but local fans are now dreaming big thanks to Gauff's play.

The first set was lopsided, as the 19-year-old didn't even drop a point. When play resumed in the second set, Ostapenko quickly lost her serve as the home fans made their presence felt in the Arthur Ashe stands.
