Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab is under pressure as he faces an investigation into claims of alleged bullying.

Mr Raab, who is also the justice secretary, has denied the allegations insisting he behaved professionally at all times.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is standing by his minister and will be keen not to lose another close ally to bullying claims, after Gavin Williamson was forced to resign last month.

Mr Raab, who has been in and out of government since 2015, is no stranger to controversy, having hit the headlines for his statements on topics as diverse as poverty and taking the knee.

He even quit the cabinet once, over former Prime Minister Theresa May's policies on Brexit.
