Derwin Montgomery, former nonprofit leader and legislator, sentenced to five years probation for fraud conviction

Montgomery, who served as member of the N.C. House of Representatives and the Winston-Salem City Council, was convicted on one count of fraud in a case in which he was accused of diverting money for personal trips and other unrelated expenses from the nonprofit he led.
