New Covid booster shots to be rolled out next WEDNESDAY - but just 17% of Americans got the last one
Covid booster shots are set to be rolled out as early as next Wednesday after tests showed they triggered protection against new variants.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) director could sign off on the shots as early as September 13, or next Wednesday, making them available.
CDC experts are yet to say who will be offered the shots, but the White House previously suggested they would be made available to all age groups.
This was despite growing vaccine hesitancy and concerns over whether younger age groups which already have good Covid immunity would benefit from the shots.
