World Cup Power Rankings: Every team rated and slated after first group game
The first round of group stage fixtures of the 2022 Qatar World Cup is now complete and there have been a few notable shock results along the way.
Argentina's stunning 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia dominated headlines, as did Germany 's loss at the hands of Japan by the same score-line. However, for other tournament giants it has simply been a case of business as usual - with the likes of England, Brazil, France and Spain all registering dominant wins after match-day one.
As the second batch of contests prepare to take place on Friday, Mirror Football has analysed how each team in the tournament has fared as the groups start to take shape - with some teams potentially able to secure qualification to the knockout stages after match-day two.

Netherlands - Have got past their sternest test and should now top the group providing they can find a way past Ecuador - but will need to be better than their first outing. Louis van Gaal admitted his side were sloppy on the ball while star man Frenkie de Jong conceded he was below his best. However, they still got off to a good start and Cody Gakpo looks fresh enough to fire them into the knockouts with confidence. - 7/10
