Woman footballer's punch to rival goes viral as fans joke 'no foul ref'

Football fans across the world were left in hysterics after a video from the Panamanian Women's League went viral on social media.

Nowadays, it's not often you see full pitch brawls between two sides. However, in a fierce clash between Plaza Amador and Sporting San Miguel, tempers flared, which eventually culminated in a player from the former delivering a hammer blow punch to an opponent.

After playing a pass to her team-mate from a corner, the Plaza Amador player was blindsided by an outrageous punch.

While it is unclear what exactly sparked the tension, the haymaker from the Sporting San Miguel player connected directly, knocking her opponent to the ground.
