William Saliba agrees four-year contract at Arsenal
William Saliba has agreed a new four-year contract at Arsenal in another significant boost for the north London club as they look to build around the young core of Mikel Artetas squad.
Salibas representatives have been in talks with Arsenals executives for months, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
The centre-back would therefore have been able to leave the club for free at the end of the upcoming season, making his new deal one of the main priorities for Arsenal.
Those talks have progressed well in recent days, with fresh terms now verbally agreed with the France international. The contract, which runs until 2027, is expected to be signed in the coming weeks.
