Troy Deeney threatened to 'INJURE every player' at Watford as he gunned for a move away in 2016
Troy Deeney has revealed threatening to 'injure every player' at Watford as he pushed for a move away from the club in 2016.
The 34-year-old scored 140 goals for Watford in 12 seasons before leaving for Birmingham in 2021.
He made all of his Premier League appearances for the Hornets, but has now spoken of the extreme lengths he would have gone to to leave the club.
After Deeney played every game of the 2015/16 season and secured his best top-flight return of 13 goals, Watford were understandably keen to keep the striker at Vicarage Road.
Speaking to the Filthy Fellas podcast, Deeney claimed he gave the club a clear idea of how the next season would look if he was not allowed to leave.
