Transfer notebook: Luton hold talks to sign Asmir Begovic and PSG target offered new contract
Luton Town have held talks over Asmir Begovic arriving as a free transfer and have also looked at Bournemouths Mark Travers as they step up their plans for Premier League football next season.
Rob Edwards sealed promotion from the Championship with Ethan Horvath as his No 1 but the USA international is due to return to Nottingham Forest following his loan, with Luton assessing their options in the goalkeeper market.
Begovic, 35, has left Everton after rejecting a new contract at Goodison Park, with Yerry Mina and Andros Townsend also released. Luton are among the teams considering the veteran Bosnia and Herzegovina international, who was at Chelsea and Bournemouth before moving to Merseyside.
