Todd Boehly's telling Thomas Tuchel comments amid claims he's 'irritated' Bayern board
The Mirror Thomas Tuchel is clashing with Bayern Munich's recruitment team - exactly a year after he was sacked by Chelsea.
Tuchel was shown the door at Stamford Bridge last September. The German's dismissal was a surprise, as it came just 13 months after he led the Blues to their second Champions League title. The decision was also made within days of the transfer window closing.
Many fans assumed Tuchel was sacked due to Chelsea's slow start to the 2021/22 campaign. The Blues lost two of their first five games to Leeds and Southampton, who both went on to be relegated, and they were humbled by Dinamo Zagreb in Europe.
Yet club chair Todd Boehly soon revealed that Tuchel was dismissed for failing to buy into his philosophy. There could be a similar situation unfolding in Bavaria, as Tuchel is reportedly unhappy with Bayern's recent transfer business.
Boehly made the revelation at a conference last September, within days of Tuchel's dismissal. He described the German as "obviously extremely talented" but insisted his manager needs to be "aligned with the people in the business".
