Tim Tszyu drops big hints about Carlos Ocampo title fight, gets stumped by very personal question
Tim Tszyu admits he is bracing himself for the biggest test of his boxing career when he takes on Carlos Ocampo, telling Daily Mail Australia he expects an all-out war of attrition for his interim WBO super welterweight belt next Sunday.
The 28-year-old knocked out highly rated American Tony Harrison in his last fight, but expects a very different challenge when he takes on the Mexican hard man on the Gold Coast.
'He's just a tough, tough, tough fight,' Tszyu revealed from his Queensland training camp.
'Stylistically it's a different type of fight to Harrison. It's going to be a fight where you get tired, you're throwing a lot of punches, you're throwing a lot of heavy shots rather than concentrating on placement.
'With Tony Harrison it was more strategic, it wasn't as brutal.
'Ocampo is a warrior, first and foremost. It's in his blood. He won't give up, he'll die on his shield.'
The title contender only has one knockout loss on his impressive 35-2 record and that came when WBC, WBO and IBF welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr dismantled him in the first round with some vicious body shots - but Tszyu isn't taking much out of that fight.
