Everton missed out on the chance to sign John McGinn before he went to Aston Villa.
Club legend Alan Stubbs has spoken about McGinn, who was signed by Villa in 2018 from Hibernian in Scotland.
Stubbs, who was then in charge at Hibs, has spoken about the fact that Everton were interested in McGinn before he eventually went to Villa.
The best player I coached and managed was John McGinn at Hibs. He was a pleasure to work with. He had a fantastic attitude, always desperate to play at the top level," he told Grosvenor Sport.
