Roman Reigns was growing increasingly frustrated with Vince McMahon's WWE booking
WWE top dog Roman Reigns was growing increasingly frustrated with Vince McMahon's booking prior to his heel turn in 2020.
That's according to Paul Heyman, who has been by Reigns' side pretty much ever since the 38-year-old returned to TV screens after a hiatus during the Covid pandemic, but for a brief period where the two separated.
Reigns has been WWE's premier star for over three years now, recently reaching 1,000 days as universal champion, which he combined with the WWE championship last year at WrestleMania to become theundisputed WWE universal champion.
But it hasn't always been plain sailing. He was booed by fans during his first singles run when he was supposed to be a good guy, and he struggled to get over with clear gaps in his 'Big Dog' character and skills on the mic.
