Robert Moreno emerges as a potential manager candidate for Liga MX side Club Amrica
At a time when countless names have been paraded around as possible people to lead Amrica into the Apertura 2023 tournament, the figure of Robert Moreno has taken a huge leap forward as the prime candidate.
According to Futbol Picante of ESPN and TUDN, Morenos name has gained traction within the boardroom that is eagerly seeking to find Fernando Ortizs replacement after he resigned at the end of the semi-finals of the Clausura 2023 after the devastating loss to Chivas.
Moreno is a coach who has experience in different projects across the top divisions of various countries, as well as having been Spains national team head coach. His journey as a manager includes teams such as Monaco, where he arrived in December 2019 before leaving in June 2020, after taking the team to a disappointing ninth place in the French League. He took on the role of head coach at Granada from June 2021 to March 2022, where he was sacked due to poor results.
