Rio Ferdinand leaves Erling Haaland AND Kevin De Bruyne out of a combined Man City and Man United XI
Rio Ferdinand has made several big calls in putting together his combined XI of players from both Manchester United and arch nemesis Man City.
The former centre back spent the majority of his career at Man United, lifting a number of trophies including the Champions League and six Premier League titles.
With City looking to complete a historic Treble on Saturday when they take on Inter Milan in the final of Europe's premier club competition, Ferdinand was tasked with putting together a team made up of some of the best players from the bitter rivals.
In the build-up to Saturday's showpiece spectacle, plenty of comparisons have been drawn between Pep Guardiola's side and the Treble-winners of United back in 1999, but it is a more modern side that Ferdinand made his picks from.
In total, the former England skipper would pick just three players from the current City side, with the other eight coming from the 2007-08 United side to lift the Champions League trophy, as well as the manager.
