Refs chief Webb: Man City goal against Fulham should've been disallowed
The chief of the Premier League referees, Howard Webb, has admitted Manchester City were given an incorrect goal.
The Citizens scored in the game to make it 2-1 through defender Nathan Ake.
However, there was a serious claim of offside in the replays, and Fulham were furious at the awarding of the goal.
Now Webb has admitted Ake's goal against Fulham as he is quoted as saying by The Mail: From the outset, I want to say this should have been disallowed.
These are not always easy to call because you are trying to get two pieces of information together. Is the player in an offside position, which official is in a good position to see, and what consequence was there of the player being in that position and how it impacts the opponents?
