People are only just realising why Man City fans boo the Champions League anthem
Manchester City have the chance to conquer their final peak on Saturday evening - a Champions League win.
However, as City players listen to the iconic Champions League anthem ahead of kick-off, don't be surprised if there is a chorus of boos from the City end. City fans first started booing the anthem during the 2011/12 campaign after Mario Balotelli was racially abused in the Europa League.
Balotelli had been racially abused by Porto fans, and the Portuguese giants were fined 20,000 for their actions. However, City were unhappy with the punishment, having been fined 30,000 for being less than a minute late for the second half earlier in the Champions League.
