A group of Newcastle supporters have reportedly been stabbed after being jumped by knife-wielding thugs in Milan last night, on the eve of their side's clash with AC Milan in the Champions League.

Reports of an attack circulated on social media which claimed a group of Magpies supporters were heading back to their hotel from an area where fans had gathered before they were jumped from behind and attacked with knives.

One social media user claimed the group that were attacked 'are OK' while a picture from another account appeared to show one bloodied man being attended to by medics.
