MLS-worst LA Galaxy part ways with embattled president Chris Klein

LA Galaxy fans vented long-simmering frustrations over the club's direction after watching Chicharito Hernandez and company drop a 1-0 result to Charlotte FC on Saturday. Many called for the dismissal of club president Chris Klein -- and on Tuesday, those fans got their wish.

The Galaxy have fired Klein after a decade in charge, a move that signals a serious shift for one of Major League Soccer's banner franchises.

Why the Galaxy got rid of Klein

Klein has overseen a Galaxy team in decline for several years. Los Angeles last won the MLS Cup in 2014 and have been overtaken by local rivals LAFC, which had the best record in MLS and won the MLS Cup in 2022.
