Agent Federico Pastorello told TMW: "Director (Cristiano) Giuntoli has made a huge effort for the renewal, which was very complicated.

"Now after the championship there will be holidays and then we'll see, but Alex is very happy to be in Naples.

"He wants to stay in Naples and I think he will."
