Melbourne City star Scott Jamieson's clash with Mariners staffer at A-League grand final
Stunning footage has emerged online showing a heated on-field clash between Melbourne City captain Scott Jamieson and Central Coast Mariners Head of Athletic Development Andy Bernal ahead of the A-League grand final.
A-Leagues All Access camerastweeted the exchange, which occurred as tension mounted ahead of kick-off at Commbank Stadium in Sydney on June 3.
Jamieson, in his final professional match before retiring, was fired up after noticing Mariners staff, led by Bernal, telling rookie City goalkeeper Matt Sutton to 'stay in his half' as both teams warmed up.
The defender, 34, then ran over and told the Mariners coaches in no uncertain terms to leave Sutton alone and 'don't touch him' as he is 'just a boy'.
