Mason Greenwood's loan club Getafe slammed as 'TONE DEAF' as they hail 'MasonMania', with Man United...
Mason Greenwood's loan club Getafe have been branded 'tone deaf' after the Spanish side hailed 'MasonMania' in social media posts following the controversial forward's signing from Manchester United.
Getafe moved for Greenwood on transfer deadline day and took part in his first training session on Tuesday.
Greenwood is seeking to rebuild his career having not playedcompetitive football since December 2021, after he was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted rape.
The 21-year-old was subsequently suspended by the Man United, however, in February the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges after key witnesses withdrew and new material came to light.
Man United completed their internal investigation into the player's conduct in August and mutually agreed with the 21-year-old forward that his career should 'recommence' away from Old Trafford.
