Manchester United took a giant leap towards qualifying for the Carabao Cup final after beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the semi-final first-leg at the City Ground.
Marcus Rashford gave the Red Devils the lead with a devastating finish, before Forest thought they had levelled midway through the first-half through Sam Surridge's strike. However, VAR ruled out his strike for offside, to the disbelief of the forward and the home crowd.
And as Forest were starting to grow into the contest, United hit them with a sucker punch on the stroke of half-time as Wout Weghorst struck his his first for the club with a neat finish. Then following an even second period, Bruno Fernandes wrapped up the win for the Red Devils as he slotted home from the edge of the box.
