Lyon made attempts on Everton, Spurs and Chelsea in search for new winger

French giants Lyon were trying to make a move for Everton winger Demarai Gray.
The winger was a huge target for Lyon, who hoped to get a transfer over the line before deadline day.
However, L'Equipe states the move came far too late in the window for everything to get done.
Lyon also put in bids for Tottenham's Bryan Gil and Chelsea youngster Diego Moreira.
Moreira eventually joined OL on-loan.
Gray is still eager to leave Everton, but may have to wait until January to get his wish.
