Liverpool rocked by second major resignation just hours after sporting director quits role
Liverpool have been rocked by a second major resignation just hours after their sporting director announced his departure.
First, the Reds' sporting director Julian Ward revealed he'll be leaving Anfield at the end of the season. His exit comes as a surprise as he will have only spent one full term in the role when it ends next summer.
Ward initially joined the Kop outfit in 2012 from Manchester City, but was slowly eased into the position under the tutelage of acclaimed transfer guru Michael Edwards, who previously occupied the role before leaving last November.

And now the Reds will have to find two replacements in their hierarchy, as the club's director of research, Ian Graham, declared he'll also be leaving shortly after Ward did, The Athletic reported. The publication revealed Graham initially handed in his notice in June, but will leave along with Ward after the season's climax in May, to give the Reds ample time to find a replacement.
