The Minnesota Vikings and NFL receiving leader Justin Jefferson are said to be nearing a contract extension that could be announced 'very soon,' according to The Athletic.
'Two weeks ago, when I was in Minnesota, I asked Justin Jefferson about the status of his deal. He had no updates for me, saying he, 'doesn't like to discuss his business,' stated Dianna Russini.
'Fair. However, he did say it with a huge smile, probably because he knows this team has been motivated to get it done.'
The 24-year-old Jefferson is currently entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract although the team does hold a fifth-year option as part of the 2020 first-round draft picks contract.
