Julio Urias bobblehead night is CANCELED by the LA Dodgers as the fallout from his arrest for felony...
The Los Angeles Dodgers have canceled their plans to hold a bobblehead night for troubled starting pitcher Julio Urias later this month.
Urias was recently placed on administrative leave by MLB after he was arrested over the weekend for felony domestic violence.
Before Urias was arrested in downtown LA after being named as one of the multiple celebrities that were expected to attend Inter Miami's match against LAFC, the Dodgers were planning to distribute tens of thousands of bobbleheads of the 27-year-old pitcher.
The promotion was slated for the team's September 21 match against the in-state rival San Francisco Giants and was set to honor his participation in the World Baseball Classic last offseason.
Each bobblehead would have featured Urias in his pitching motion decked out in a Mexico jersey uniform.
The Dodgers announced via X that they would be replacing the Urias bobbleheads with 'a giveaway of select premium bobbleheads to the first 30,000 fans in attendance.'
