Ex-Fulham star Sergio Rico in intensive care with head injury after falling from horse
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico is in intensive care after a horse riding incident in his native Spain on Sunday morning.
In a statement to Sky News, PSG have confirmed Rico, 29, is in an intensive care unit (ICU) at a hospital in Seville. The Spain international's former club Sevilla have sent him their best wishes on Twitter. The extent of his injuries remain unclear.
As per reports in Spain and France, Rico was riding a horse near the city of Huelva in Spain when a runaway horse collided with him. It's claimed he was taken to a hospital near Seville by helicopter and has suffered a head trauma.
