Experts say Wrexham could make Premier League but will need one key change to get there

Many scoffed when Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator Rob McElhenney said they wanted to take Wrexham to the Premier League.

But forget the fanbase, it's the massive success of Disney+ documentary Welcome to Wrexham and sponsorship deals with the likes of social media giant TikTok, 2023/24 shirt sponsor United Airlines and stadium sponsor SToK that could actually help make the owners dreams a reality.

So, with two actors pumping in millions of pounds, where exactly could the third-oldest professional football club in the world find itself in five years time?

Well, the famous Racecourse Ground will definitely look different. Bringing the ground back into the clubs ownership was one of Rob and Ryans main goals when they took over.

The duo completed the purchase from Wrexham Glyndwr University in June last year and work to build a new 5,500-capacity stand at the Kop end of the stadium is due to begin very soon.
