Everton offer key player a new contract despite injury concerns while defender leaves on a free

Everton have confirmed that captain Seamus Coleman is among the players that have been offered a new contract at the club, despite his current absence through injury.

Three first team players have been offered new deals, with Tom Davies and Andy Lonergan given the option of staying with the Toffees after their current deals expired.

Defender Yerry Mina and forward Andros Townsend will leave the club on free transfers after the club opted against offering fresh terms.

Reserve goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, meanwhile, will also depart after rejecting a new deal.
