Cristiano Ronaldo has scored from the spot for Portugal to become the first man to score at five World Cups.

The former Manchester United forward, 37, won and dispatched a penalty into the top corner of Portugal's opening Group H fixture to extend his rich scoring record to five consecutive World Cups. First netting in the World Cup back in 2006, Ronaldo opened his account with another strike from 12 yards, in Portugal's penultimate Group Stage match against Iran.
