Championship leaders Burnley close in on 12m deal for Westerlo striker Lyle Foster

Burnley are finalising the signing of Westerlo striker Lyle Foster for around 12m including bonuses.

The Championship leaders are the top scorers in the second tier, having netted 55 goals in their 28 matches to date, but are looking to add even more firepower to their attack.

Foster has scored eight goals in 21 league appearances in Belgium this term, and is closing in on a switch to Turf Moor.

The 22-year-old will give manager Vincent Kompany another option up front, and looks set to battle with experienced duo Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Barnes for a starting berth.
