Catalunya has international team with Premier League stars and are unbeaten since 2008
Catalunya has their own international football team - and it is very handy indeed.
The principality is located on the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula, but is recognised as Spanish territory rather than as an independent, sovereign nation. While it does have its own football federation, it is affiliated with the Royal Spanish Football Federation and therefore cannot be recognised as a national member association by FIFA or UEFA.
But while they cannot compete for a place in the World Cup or the European Championships, they are allowed to participate in international friendlies. And most of Europe will likely be hoping their footballing status will remain the same as they are a very, very good side.

Catalunya has played nearly 200 games against national, regional, and club teams since 1904. However, the lack of experience has barely hindered the side, as they have not lost a match since 2008.
