BT Sport suffer huge blow with popular pundit set to join Sky Sports next season
British broadcasting giant Sky Sports has reportedly swooped early to steal Chris Sutton's signature from major rival BT Sport ahead of the new season.
The summer transfer window doesn't officially open until June 14, but it's open season on punditry talent as BT looks set to lose one of its most popular names. Former Celtic, Chelsea and Blackburn striker Sutton has been a regular feature on the channel's 'Score' show but will now front a revamped version of Sky's Scottish football coverage.
According to the Daily Mail, Sky has landed its target to create a new-look Scottish Premiership punditry team consisting of Sutton, Rangers icon Kris Boyd and ex-Scotland favourite James McFadden.

Former Norwich City star Sutton, 50, will also contribute to Sky's English football coverage, meanwhile, as well as maintaining his role at BBC Radio 5 Live. Scottish broadcaster Eilidh Barbour will present the SPFL programmes, but the acquisition of Sutton has been described as a 'major coup'.
