Daily Mail Aussie UFC heavyweight Justin Tafa, who was once scouted by the Melbourne Storm, has revealed that his first meeting with master coach Craig Bellamy occurred while the pair were stark naked.
Tafa, 29, will be looking for his third successive knockout this Sunday at UFC 293 when he squares off with towering American Austen Lane at a sold out Qudos Bank Arena.
Just days away from the bout, the former rugby league prodigy has spilled the beans on his nervous first encounter with Bellamy while playing Under 20s for Melbourne.
'We trained early in the mornings, before the day really started, with the first graders then arriving later on,' Tafa told Fox Sports Australia.
'Anyway, this particular morning I'd had to stay behind after our workout to do some extras. I'm in the dressing room showers afterwards, by myself, and hear this 'G'day mate'.
