Andy Murray fights back to beat Jason Kubler and reach the semi-finals at Surbiton Trophy
The Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club may not carry the prestige of Paris Roland Garros but for Andy Murray, this pocket of south west London was as suitable a setting as any for his latest fitness-boosting win.
Murray entertained a smattering of spectators in a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Australian Jason Kubler.
It earned him passage to the Surbiton Trophys semi-finals as he works towards a potential Wimbledon swansong this summer.
Murray skipped Roland Garros to focus on getting fit for the pinnacle of the grass-court season and in that sense, Fridays two-hour, six-minute match was good for the 36-year-old.
