AFL team boss has great respect for Daisy Pearce after Channel 7 pundit banned from Richmond rooms

Tigers chief Neil Balme has insisted that the AFL club's decision to ban Daisy Pearce from their dressing room is a sign of respect.

Pearce, who was on commentary duty for Richmond's Round 1 draw against Carlton last week for Channel 7, was not allowed to enter the Tigers' rooms after the final siren, sparking confusion among fans.

But the club clarified that Pearce's role with the Geelong Cats - in which she works as an assistant for the men's team - meant that officials were hesitant to allow her into the team's inner sanctum.
