PLDT to activate 11th data center next year

MANILA, Philippines -The 11th data center of PLDT Inc., which has been investing in such infrastructure amid increasing digitalization, is expected to welcome hyperscalers and other customers by early next year.

PLDT president Al Panlilio said in a recent briefing that the construction of VITRO Sta. Rosa was set to be completed by the end of this year.

Customers and hyperscalers should be able to use it starting early part of next year, he said.

Hyperscalers, or entities that provide cloud, networking and internet services, include Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, Alibaba AliCloud, IBM and Oracle.
