Financial Sector Update for 01/25/2023: MKTX, FMNB, NDAQ, PGR

Financial stocks were advancing just ahead of Wednesday's closing bell, with the NYSE Financial Index climbing 0.3% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) was rising 0.7%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was adding 0.3%, while the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was ahead 0.1%.

Bitcoin was declining 0.4% to $22,878, while the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slipping 0.7 basis points to 3.462%.

In company news, MarketAxess Holdings (MKTX) was climbing more than 10% late in Wednesday trading after reporting improved Q4 earnings exceeding Wall Street estimates and the online trading company Wednesday also increasing its quarterly dividend by 2.9% to $0.72 per share.
