Pat Riley still has hopes for LeBron James' Lakers to win the ring: 'They got a shot'
Even though the Lakers have struggled throughout the NBA season, LeBron James is the one constant they can rely on. This had to be the season in which 'King' James got closer to breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA scoring record. No matter what happens from a collective standpoint, this will be possibly the most historic season in LeBron James's career. However, coach Pat Riley won two NBA rings thanks to LeBron when he coached the Heat. He knows exactly how LeBron James feels with those personal accolades.
Although winning the record will be something special, Pat Riley revealed that LeBron James is mostly driven by winning collective titles. All he wants is to win as many NBA Championship rings as possible. Currently, James already has four of them but he wants many more despite his age. Riley spoke from his experience about what LeBron is probably going through right now. Coach Pat also believes that having LeBron James playing at this level give the Lakers a chance at the title this season. It hasn't been a tough season for the team but Riley wants people to not underestimate James and the gang.
