Brooklyn Nets offer the latest update on Kevin Durant's January 8 MCL sprain
Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant suffered an MCL sprain that has kept him from playing since January 8. His absence brought the team to a 2-4 run without him on court but two consecutive wins that appeased the angry fans. Everybody knows Kevin Durant is the team's most vital player and not having him will make them more vulnerable. A new report from the Brooklyn Nets confirms the player is making positive progress in his recovery but they still failed to deliver any type of timeline for his return.
Despite not offering a date for his return, they did mention that after two weeks from suffering the MCL sprain, Kevin Durant will be re-evaluated in two weeks' time. This means that Durant won't play for at least another two weeks. That's potentially another six missed games and a possible return to play for the Chicago Bulls on February 9, if his recovery goes well. So far, the doctor who is taking lead in Durant's recovery said he was very happy with the star's progress. The doctor's name is Dr. Riley Williams III and he made an evaluation of Durant's sprain at the Hospital for Special Surgery on Monday.
