Patrick Mahomes will play in the AFC Championship Game next Sunday, per reports

The Kansas City Chiefs can breathe easy, Patrick Mahomes will have no problem playing in the American Conference Championship Game next Sunday, Jan. 29.

Mahomes left in the first quarter of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a bruised ankle. The quarterback left the field, sat out the second quarter, but returned to play the second half.

While playing, Mahomes did not look good, was hobbling and set off alarm bells in Kansas. After the game early reports were that X-rays showed it was just a sprain, but the recovery time was not yet known.
