Patrick Mahomes injury update: X-rays reveal future of Chiefs QB after win vs. Jaguars
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is dealing with a high-ankle sprain after suffering an injury late in the first quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.
Mahomes, 27, was able to return to the game in the second half, but the team still took X-rays of his injury after the Divisional Round victory.
The X-rays came back negative, but he will probably have to play through the high-ankle sprain next weekend against the winner of Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills.
