Lisa Guerrero's 'Monday Night Football' aspirations destroyed by a photo shoot
After securing her dream position as a sideline reporter for Monday Night Football in 2013, Lisa Guerrero was frequently referred to as "the luckiest woman in sports." In her latest book "Warrior", she describes how the dream job devolved into a nightmare.
Guerrero noted in an excerpt from Sports Illustrated that producer Freddie Gaudelli wanted to change the sports broadcasting scene by bringing in a reporter who also had a tilt toward entertainment.
However, what ultimately caused conflict between herself and her company was outside judgments of her beauty, her knowledge, and her worth as a sports writer. "I'd done a photo shoot for 'FHM,' a men's lifestyle magazine, which was scheduled to run at the beginning of the football season," said Guerrero.
