49ers RBs McCaffrey, Mitchell to sit out practice
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Three of the San Francisco 49ers' most important offensive players will not practice Wednesday as they deal with various injury issues.
Running backs Christian McCaffrey (bruised calf) and Elijah Mitchell (groin) and receiver Deebo Samuel (ankle) will sit out Wednesday's session, according to coach Kyle Shanahan.
Samuel, however, was in uniform for the early portion of Wednesday's practice that was open to media.
While Shanahan made no promises about the trio's availability for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he expressed confidence that all will be ready to go.
